The Ark Brought to the Temple
1. Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

2. And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
2. Tous les hommes d`Israël se réunirent auprès du roi Salomon, au mois d`Éthanim, qui est le septième mois, pendant la fête.

3. And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
3. Lorsque tous les anciens d`Israël furent arrivés, les sacrificateurs portèrent l`arche.
3. "Ary tonga ny loholon' ny Isiraely rehetra, ary ny mpisorona no nitondra ny fiara;"
4. And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.
4. Ils transportèrent l`arche de l`Éternel, la tente d`assignation, et tous les ustensiles sacrés qui étaient dans la tente: ce furent les sacrificateurs et les Lévites qui les transportèrent.
4. "Ary dia nampakariny ny fiaran' i Jehovah sy ny tranolay fihaonana mbamin' ny fanaka masina rehetra izay tao amin' ny tabernakely; dia nampakarin' ny mpisorona sy ny Levita ireo zavatra ireo."
5. And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
5. Le roi Salomon et toute l`assemblée d`Israël convoquée auprès de lui se tinrent devant l`arche. Ils sacrifièrent des brebis et des boeufs, qui ne purent être ni comptés, ni nombrés, à cause de leur multitude.
5. Ary i Solomona mpanjaka sy ny fiangonan' ny Isiraely rehetra, izay vory teo aminy, dia teo anoloan' ny fiara niaraka taminy, sady nanao fanatitra ondry sy omby, izay tsy tambo isaina sady tsy hita isa noho ny hamaroany.
6. And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.
6. Les sacrificateurs portèrent l`arche de l`alliance de l`Éternel à sa place, dans le sanctuaire de la maison, dans le lieu très saint, sous les ailes des chérubins.
6. "Ary ny fiaran' ny faneken' i Jehovah dia nampidirin' ny mpisorona ho ao amin' ny fitoerany tao anatin' ny efitrano anatiny, dia ny fitoerana masina indrindra, teo ambanin' ny elatry ny kerobima;"
7. For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
7. Car les chérubins avaient les ailes étendues sur la place de l`arche, et ils couvraient l`arche et ses barres par-dessus.
7. Fa nivelatra teo ambonin' ny fitoeran' ny fiara ny elatra roan' ny kerobima, ary ny kerobima nanaloka ny fiara sy ny baony.
8. And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.
8. On avait donné aux barres une longueur telle que leurs extrémités se voyaient du lieu saint devant le sanctuaire, mais ne se voyaient point du dehors. Elles ont été là jusqu`à ce jour.
8. "Ary lava ny bao, ka hita ny lohany, raha amin' ny fitoerana masina eo anoloan' ny efitra anatiny, nefa tsy hita raha eny ivelany; ary mbola ao mandraka androany izy."
9. There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
9. Il n`y avait dans l`arche que les deux tables de pierre, que Moïse y déposa en Horeb, lorsque l`Éternel fit alliance avec les enfants d`Israël, à leur sortie du pays d`Égypte.
9. Ary tsy nisy na inona na inona tao anatin' ny fiara afa-tsy ny vato fisaka roa, izay nataon' i Mosesy tao anatiny tany Horeba, fony Jehovah nanao fanekena tamin' ny Zanak' Isiraely tamin' ny nivoahany avy tany amin' ny tany Egypta.
10. And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
10. Au moment où les sacrificateurs sortirent du lieu saint, la nuée remplit la maison de l`Éternel.
10. "Ary izao no niseho, nony nivoaka avy tao amin' ny fitoerana masina ny mpisorona, dia nameno ny tranon' i Jehovah ny rahona;"
11. So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
11. "Les sacrificateurs ne purent pas y rester pour faire le service, à cause de la nuée; car la gloire de l`Éternel remplissait la maison de l`Éternel."
11. Ka dia tsy nahajanona hanao ny asa fanompoana ny mpisorona noho ny rahona, satria ny voninahitr' i Jehovah nameno ny tranon' i Jehovah.
12. Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
12. Alors Salomon dit: L`Éternel veut habiter dans l`obscurité!
12. "Dia hoy Solomona; Jehovah efa nilaza fa hitoetra ao amin' ny haizim-pito Izy."
13. I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
13. J`ai bâti une maison qui sera ta demeure, un lieu où tu résideras éternellement!
13. Efa nanao trano hitoeranao tokoa aho, dia fitoerana hitoeranao mandrakizay.
14. And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)
14. "Le roi tourna son visage, et bénit toute l`assemblée d`Israël; et toute l`assemblée d`Israël était debout."
14. "Ary nitodika ny mpanjaka ka nitsodrano ny fiangonana, dia ny Isiraely rehetra (nitsangana avokoa ny fiangonana, dia ny Isiraely rehetra);"
15. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
15. Et il dit: Béni soit l`Éternel, le Dieu d`Israël, qui a parlé de sa bouche à David, mon père, et qui accomplit par sa puissance ce qu`il avait déclaré en disant:
15. Dia hoy izy: Isaorana anie Jehovah Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, fa ny vavany no efa niteny tamin' i Davida raiko, ary ny tanany no nahatanteraka izany taminy manao hoe:
16. Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
16. Depuis le jour où j`ai fait sortir d`Égypte mon peuple d`Israël, je n`ai point choisi de ville parmi toutes les tribus d`Israël pour qu`il y fût bâti une maison où résidât mon nom, mais j`ai choisi David pour qu`il régnât sur mon peuple d`Israël!
16. "Hatramin' ny andro nitondrako ny Zanak' Isiraely oloko nivoaka avy tany Egypta dia tsy mbola nisy tanàna nofidiko tamin' ireo fokon' ny Isiraely rehetra hanaovana trano hitoeran' ny anarako; fa nifidy an' i Davida Aho hanapaka ny Isiraely oloko."
17. And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
17. David, mon père, avait l`intention de bâtir une maison au nom de l`Éternel, le Dieu d`Israël.
17. Ary efa mby tao am-pon' i Davida raiko ny hanao trano ho an' ny anaran' i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely.
18. And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.
18. Et l`Éternel dit à David, mon père: Puisque tu as eu l`intention de bâtir une maison à mon nom, tu as bien fait d`avoir eu cette intention.
18. Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Davida raiko: Satria tao am-ponao ny fikasana hanao trano ho an' ny anarako, dia tsara izany zavatra tao am-ponao izany.
19. Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.
19. "Seulement, ce ne sera pas toi qui bâtiras la maison; mais ce sera ton fils, sorti de tes entrailles, qui bâtira la maison à mon nom."
19. Kanefa kosa tsy ianao no hanao ny trano, fa ny zanakao izay haterakao, izy no hanao ny trano ho an' ny anarako.
20. And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
20. L`Éternel a accompli la parole qu`il avait prononcée. Je me suis élevé à la place de David, mon père, et je me suis assis sur le trône d`Israël, comme l`avait annoncé l`Éternel, et j`ai bâti la maison au nom de l`Éternel, le Dieu d`Israël.
20. Ary Jehovah efa nahatanteraka ny teniny izay nolazainy, koa nitsangana handimby an' i Davida raiko aho, ary mipetraka eo amin' ny sezafiandrianan' ny Isiraely tahaka ny efa nampanantenain' i Jehovah, sady efa nanao ny trano ho an' ny anaran' i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, aho.
21. And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
21. J`y ai disposé un lieu pour l`arche où est l`alliance de l`Éternel, l`alliance qu`il a faite avec nos pères quand il les fit sortir du pays d`Égypte.
21. Ary nasiako fitoerana teo ho an' ny fiara izay itoeran' ny faneken' i Jehovah, ilay nataony tamin' ny razantsika fony Izy nitondra azy nivoaka avy tany amin' ny tany Egypta.
Solomon's Prayer of Dedication
22. And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:
22. Salomon se plaça devant l`autel de l`Éternel, en face de toute l`assemblée d`Israël. Il étendit ses mains vers le ciel, et il dit:
22. "Ary Solomona nitsangana teo anoloan' ny alitaran' i Jehovah teo anatrehan' ny fiangonan' ny Isiraely rehetra, ka namelatra ny tanany manandrify ny lanitra;"
23. And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:
23. O Éternel, Dieu d`Israël! Il n`y a point de Dieu semblable à toi, ni en haut dans les cieux, ni en bas sur la terre: tu gardes l`alliance et la miséricorde envers tes serviteurs qui marchent en ta présence de tout leur coeur!
23. "Ary hoy izy: Ry Jehovah Andriamanitry ny Isiraely ô, tsy misy Andriamanitra tahaka Anao, na any amin' ny lanitra ambony, na amin' ny tany ambany, Izay mitandrina fanekena sy famindrampo amin' ny mpanomponao izay mandeha eo anatrehanao amin' ny fony rehetra;"
24. Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
24. "Ainsi tu as tenu parole à ton serviteur David, mon père; et ce que tu as déclaré de ta bouche, tu l`accomplis en ce jour par ta puissance."
24. "Izay efa nahatanteraka tamin' i Davida raiko mpanomponao izay nampanantenainao azy; nolazain' ny vavanao koa izany, dia notanterahin' ny tananao tahaka ny amin' izao anio izao."
25. Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
25. Maintenant, Éternel, Dieu d`Israël, observe la promesse que tu as faite à David, mon père, en disant: Tu ne manqueras jamais devant moi d`un successeur assis sur le trône d`Israël, pourvu que tes fils prennent garde à leur voie et qu`ils marchent en ma présence comme tu as marché en ma présence.
25. Koa ankehitriny Jehovah Andriamanitry ny Isiraely ô, tanteraho amin' i Davida raiko mpanomponao, ilay nampanantenainao taminy hoe: Tsy ho diso lehilahy eo anatrehako ianao hipetraka eo amin' ny sezafiandrianan' ny Isiraely, raha ny zanakao mitandrina ny alehany, ka mandeha eo anatrehako tahaka ny nandehananao teo anatrehako.
26. And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.
26. Oh! qu`elle s`accomplisse, Dieu d`Israël, la promesse que tu as faite à ton serviteur David, mon père!
26. Koa ankehitriny, ry Andriamanitry ny Isiraely ô, mifona aminao aho, aoka ho tò anie ny teninao, izay nolazainao tamin' i Davida raiko mpanomponao.
27. But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
27. Mais quoi! Dieu habiterait-il véritablement sur la terre? Voici, les cieux et les cieux des cieux ne peuvent te contenir: combien moins cette maison que je t`ai bâtie!
27. Nefa Andriamanitra va dia honina ety an-tany tokoa! He ny lanitra, ary ny lanitry ny lanitra aza tsy omby Anao, koa mainka fa ity trano naoriko ity?
28. Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:
28. "Toutefois, Éternel, mon Dieu, sois attentif à la prière de ton serviteur et à sa supplication; écoute le cri et la prière que t`adresse aujourd`hui ton serviteur."
28. Koa atreho ny fivavaka sy ny fifonan' ny mpanomponao, Jehovah Andriamanitro ô, mba hohenoinao ny vavaka izay ataon' ny mpanomponao eto anatrehanao anio,
29. That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.
29. Que tes yeux soient nuit et jour ouverts sur cette maison, sur le lieu dont tu as dit: Là sera mon nom! Écoute la prière que ton serviteur fait en ce lieu.
29. Mba hihiratan' ny masonao andro aman' alina amin' ity trano ity, dia amin' ny fitoerana nolazainao hoe: Ho ao ny anarako hihainoanao ny vavaka izay ataon' ny mpanomponao manatrika ity fitoerana ity.
30. And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.
30. Daigne exaucer la supplication de ton serviteur et de ton peuple d`Israël, lorsqu`ils prieront en ce lieu! Exauce du lieu de ta demeure, des cieux, exauce et pardonne!
30. "Ary henoy ny fifonan' ny mpanomponao sy ny Isiraely olonao raha mivavaka manatrika ity fitoerana ity izy; dia mihainoa any an-danitra fonenanao Ianao; ary rehefa renao dia mamelà heloka."
31. If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:
31. Si quelqu`un pèche contre son prochain et qu`on lui impose un serment pour le faire jurer, et s`il vient jurer devant ton autel, dans cette maison, -
31. Raha misy olona manota amin' ny namany, ary tonga aminy ny fampianianana izay hahatonga azy hianiana, ka tonga eo anoloan' ny alitaranao amin' ity trano ity ny fianianana,
32. Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
32. "écoute-le des cieux, agis, et juge tes serviteurs; condamne le coupable, et fais retomber sa conduite sur sa tête; rends justice à l`innocent, et traite-le selon son innocence!"
32. Dia mihainoa any an-danitra Ianao, ka manaova ary mitsarà ny mpanomponao, hanameloka ny ratsy fanahy ka hampitsingerina ny nataony ho amin' ny lohany, ary hanamarina ny marina kosa ka hanome azy araka ny fahamarinany.
33. When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:
33. "Quand ton peuple d`Israël sera battu par l`ennemi, pour avoir péché contre toi; s`ils reviennent à toi et rendent gloire à ton nom, s`ils t`adressent des prières et des supplications dans cette maison, -"
33. Raha resy eo anoloan' ny fahavalo ny Isiraely olonao noho ny nanotany taminao, ary miverina aminao sy manaiky ny anaranao indray ka mivavaka sy mifona aminao eto amin' ity trano ity izy,
34. Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.
34. exauce-les des cieux, pardonne le péché de ton peuple d`Israël, et ramène-les dans le pays que tu as donné à leurs pères!
34. Dia mihainoa any an-danitra Ianao, ka mamelà ny fahotan' ny Isiraely olonao, ary ampodio indray amin' ny tany nomenao ny razany izy.
35. When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
35. Quand le ciel sera fermé et qu`il n`y aura point de pluie, à cause de leurs péchés contre toi, s`ils prient dans ce lieu et rendent gloire à ton nom, et s`ils se détournent de leurs péchés, parce que tu les auras châtiés, -
35. "Raha mihantona ny andro ka tsy misy ranonorana noho ny nanotan' ny olona taminao; raha mivavaka manatrika ity fitoerana ity izy, ka manaiky ny anaranao sady miala amin' ny fahotany, satria ampahorinao,"
36. Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
36. exauce-les des cieux, pardonne le péché de tes serviteurs et de ton peuple d`Israël, à qui tu enseigneras la bonne voie dans laquelle ils doivent marcher, et fais venir la pluie sur la terre que tu as donnée en héritage à ton peuple!
36. Dia mihainoa any an-danitra Ianao, ka mamelà ny fahotan' ny mpanomponao sy ny Isiraely olonao, mba hampianaranao azy ny lalana tsara izay tokony halehany, ary mandatsaha ranonorana amin' ny taninao, izay nomenao ho lovan' ny olonao.
37. If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;
37. "Quand la famine, la peste, la rouille, la nielle, les sauterelles d`une espèce ou d`une autre, seront dans le pays, quand l`ennemi assiégera ton peuple dans son pays, dans ses portes, quand il y aura des fléaux ou des maladies quelconques;"
37. "Raha misy mosary amin' ny tany, na areti-mandringana, na mainan' ny rivotra ny vary na maty fotsy, na misy valala sy sompanga, na misy fahavalony manao fahirano Azy ao amin' ny taniny, dia ao amin' ny tanànany; na inona fahoriana, na inona aretina."
38. What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:
38. si un homme, si tout ton peuple d`Israël fait entendre des prières et des supplications, et que chacun reconnaisse la plaie de son coeur et étende les mains vers cette maison, -
38. Izay vavaka rehetra sy fifonana rehetra ataon' ny olona, na ny Isiraely olonao rehetra, izay samy mahalala ny fahorian' ny fony avy, ka mamelatra ny tanany manatrika ity trano ity izy,
39. Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)
39. "exauce-le des cieux, du lieu de ta demeure, et pardonne; agis, et rends à chacun selon ses voies, toi qui connais le coeur de chacun, car seul tu connais le coeur de tous les enfants des hommes,"
39. Dia mihainoa any an-danitra fonenanao Ianao, ka mamelà heloka, ary manaova, ka omeo ny olona tsirairay araka ny alehany rehetra, fa fantatrao ny fony (fa Ianao dia Ianao irery ihany no mahalala ny fon' ny zanak' olombelona rehetra),
40. That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.
40. et ils te craindront tout le temps qu`ils vivront dans le pays que tu as donné à nos pères!
40. Mba hatahorany Anao amin' izay andro rehetra hiainany eo amin' ny tany nomenao ny razanay.
41. Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;
41. Quand l`étranger, qui n`est pas de ton peuple d`Israël, viendra d`un pays lointain, à cause de ton nom,
41. Ary koa mikasika ny vahiny izay tsy isan' ny Isiraely olonao, fa tonga avy any an-tany lavitra noho ny anaranao,
42. (For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
42. car on saura que ton nom est grand, ta main forte, et ton bras étendu, quand il viendra prier dans cette maison, -
42. (Fa ho reny ny anaranao lehibe sy ny tananao mahery ary ny sandrinao ahinjitra), koa raha avy izy ka mivavaka manatrika ity trano ity,
43. Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.
43. exauce-le des cieux, du lieu de ta demeure, et accorde à cet étranger tout ce qu`il te demandera, afin que tous les peuples de la terre connaissent ton nom pour te craindre, comme ton peuple d`Israël, et sachent que ton nom est invoqué sur cette maison que j`ai bâtie!
43. Dia mihainoa any an-danitra fonenanao Ianao, ka manaova araka izay rehetra iantsoan' ny vahiny Anao, mba ho fantatry ny firenena rehetra ambonin' ny tany ny anaranao, hatahorany anao tahaka ny ataon' ny Isiraely olonao, ary mba ho fantany fa ity trano izay naoriko ity dia antsoina amin' ny anaranao.
44. If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:
44. "Quand ton peuple sortira pour combattre son ennemi, en suivant la voie que tu lui auras prescrite; s`ils adressent à l`Éternel des prières, les regards tournés vers la ville que tu as choisie et vers la maison que j`ai bâtie à ton nom,"
44. Raha mivoaka hiady amin' ny fahavalony ny olonao, na ho aiza na ho aiza no hanirahanao azy, ka mivavaka amin' i Jehovah manandrify ny tanàna izay nofidinao sy ny trano izay naoriko ho an' ny anaranao,
45. Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
45. exauce des cieux leurs prières et leurs supplications, et fais-leur droit!
45. Dia henoy any an-danitra ny fivavany sy ny fifonany, ka omeo rariny izy.
46. If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;

46. Raha manota aminao izy (fa tsy misy olombelona tsy manota), ka tezitra aminy Ianao ary manolotra azy amin' ny fahavalony, ka dia entin' ny mpamabo ho babo any amin' ny tanin' ny fahavalony izy, na ho lavitra na ho akaiky,
47. Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;
47. s`ils rentrent en eux-mêmes dans le pays où ils seront captifs, s`ils reviennent à toi et t`adressent des supplications dans le pays de ceux qui les ont emmenés, et qu`ils disent: Nous avons péché, nous avons commis des iniquités, nous avons fait le mal!
47. Ary raha mahatsiaro tena any amin' ny tany izay nitondrana azy ho babo izy, ka mibebaka sy mifona aminao any amin' ny tanin' ireo izay nitondra azy ho babo, ary manao hoe: Efa nanota izahay sady efa nanao heloka sy efa nanao ratsy,
48. And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:
48. s`ils reviennent à toi de tout leur coeur et de toute leur âme, dans le pays de leurs ennemis qui les ont emmenés captifs, s`ils t`adressent des prières, les regards tournés vers leur pays que tu as donné à leurs pères, vers la ville que tu as choisie et vers la maison que j`ai bâtie à ton nom, -
48. Ka dia miverina aminao amin' ny fony rehetra sy ny fanahiny rehetra ao amin' ny tanin' ny fahavalony izay namabo azy izy, ary mivavaka aminao manandrify ny taniny izay nomenao ny razany, dia ny tanàna izay nofidinao ary ny trano izay naoriko ho an' ny anaranao,
49. Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause,
49. "exauce des cieux, du lieu de ta demeure, leurs prières et leurs supplications, et fais-leur droit;"
49. "Dia henoy any an-danitra fonenanao ny fivavany sy ny fifonany, ka omeo rariny izy;"
50. And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:
50. "pardonne à ton peuple ses péchés et toutes ses transgressions contre toi; excite la compassion de ceux qui les retiennent captifs, afin qu`ils aient pitié d`eux,"
50. "Ary mamelà ny heloky ny olonao izay nanota taminao sy ny fahadisoany rehetra izay nandisoany taminao, ary ataovy mahazo fangoraham-po eo anoloan' izay nitondra azy ho babo izy, mba hamindran' ireo fo aminy;"
51. For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:
51. car ils sont ton peuple et ton héritage, et tu les as fait sortir d`Égypte, du milieu d`une fournaise de fer!

52. That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee.
52. Que tes yeux soient ouverts sur la supplication de ton serviteur et sur la supplication de ton peuple d`Israël, pour les exaucer en tout ce qu`ils te demanderont!
52. Mba hihiratan' ny masonao amin' ny fifonan' ny mpanomponao sy ny fifonan' ny Isiraely olonao hihaino azy amin' izay rehetra iantsoany Anao.
53. For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O LORD God.
53. Car tu les as séparés de tous les autres peuples de la terre pour en faire ton héritage, comme tu l`as déclaré par Moïse, ton serviteur, quand tu fis sortir d`Égypte nos pères, Seigneur Éternel!
53. Fa Ianao, Jehovah Andriamanitra ô, no nanavaka azy tamin' ny firenena rehetra ambonin' ny tany ho lovanao, araka izay nampilazainao an' i Mosesy mpanomponao, raha nentinao nivoaka ny tany Egypta ny razanay.
54. And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
54. Lorsque Salomon eut achevé d`adresser à l`Éternel toute cette prière et cette supplication, il se leva de devant l`autel de l`Éternel, où il était agenouillé, les mains étendues vers le ciel.
54. Ary izao no zava-nisy, rehefa vita izany vavaka sy fifonana rehetra nataon' i Solomona tamin' i Jehovah izany, dia nitsangana niala teo amin' ny alitaran' i Jehovah izay efa nandohalehan' ny lohaliny sy namelarany ny tanany ho amin' ny lanitra izy.
55. And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,
55. Debout, il bénit à haute voix toute l`assemblée d`Israël, en disant:
55. Ary nitsangana izy ka nitsodrano ny fiangonan' ny Isiraely rehetra tamin' ny feo mahery nanao hoe:
56. Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
56. Béni soit l`Éternel, qui a donné du repos à son peuple d`Israël, selon toutes ses promesses! De toutes les bonnes paroles qu`il avait prononcées par Moïse, son serviteur, aucune n`est restée sans effet.
56. "Isaorana anie Jehovah, Izay nanome fitsaharana ho an' ny Isiraely olony araka izay rehetra nampanantenainy; tsy nisy latsaka na dia teny iray aza tamin' ny fampanantenana tsara rehetra, izay nampanantenainy tamin' ny alalan' i Mosesy mpanompony."
57. The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:
57. "Que l`Éternel, notre Dieu, soit avec nous, comme il a été avec nos pères; qu`il ne nous abandonne point et ne nous délaisse point,"
57. Jehovah Andriamanitsika anie homba antsika tahaka ny nombany ny razantsika: aoka tsy handao na hahafoy antsika Izy:
58. That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.
58. mais qu`il incline nos coeurs vers lui, afin que nous marchions dans toutes ses voies, et que nous observions ses commandements, ses lois et ses ordonnances, qu`il a prescrits à nos pères!

59. And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:
59. Que ces paroles, objet de mes supplications devant l`Éternel, soient jour et nuit présentes à l`Éternel, notre Dieu, et qu`il fasse en tout temps droit à son serviteur et à son peuple d`Israël,

60. That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.
60. afin que tous les peuples de la terre reconnaissent que l`Éternel est Dieu, qu`il n`y en a point d`autre!
60. Mba ho fantatry ny firenena rehetra ambonin' ny tany fa Jehovah no Andriamanitra, fa tsy misy afa-tsy Izy.
61. Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
61. Que votre coeur soit tout à l`Éternel, notre Dieu, comme il l`est aujourd`hui, pour suivre ses lois et pour observer ses commandements.

The Dedication of the Temple
62. And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD.
62. Le roi et tout Israël avec lui offrirent des sacrifices devant l`Éternel.
62. Ary ny mpanjaka sy ny Isiraely rehetra teo aminy dia nanao fanatitra teo anatrehan' i Jehovah.
63. And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.
63. Salomon immola vingt-deux mille boeufs et cent vingt mille brebis pour le sacrifice d`actions de grâces qu`il offrit à l`Éternel. Ainsi le roi et tous les enfants d`Israël firent la dédicace de la maison de l`Éternel.
63. Ary Solomona nanolotra fanati-pihavanana, izay natolony ho an' i Jehovah, dia omby roa arivo amby roa alina sy ondry roa alina amby iray hetsy. Toy izany no nitokanan' ny mpanjaka sy ny Zanak' Isiraely rehetra ny tranon' i Jehovah.
64. The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.
64. "En ce jour, le roi consacra le milieu du parvis, qui est devant la maison de l`Éternel; car il offrit là les holocaustes, les offrandes, et les graisses des sacrifices d`actions de grâces, parce que l`autel d`airain qui est devant l`Éternel était trop petit pour contenir les holocaustes, les offrandes, et les graisses des sacrifices d`actions de grâces."
64. "Androtrio ihany no nanamasinan' ny mpanjaka ny afovoan' ny kianja izay teo anoloan' ny tranon' i Jehovah; fa teo no nanaterany ny fanatitra dorana sy fanatitra hohanina ary ny saboran' ny fanati-pihavanana; satria kely loatra ny alitara varahina izay teo anatrehan' i Jehovah ka tsy omby ny fanatitra dorana sy ny fanatitra hohanina ary ny saboran' ny fanati-pihavanana."
65. And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.
65. Salomon célébra la fête en ce temps-là, et tout Israël avec lui. Une grande multitude, venue depuis les environs de Hamath jusqu`au torrent d`Égypte, s`assembla devant l`Éternel, notre Dieu, pendant sept jours, et sept autres jours, soit quatorze jours.
65. 66. On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.
66. Le huitième jour, il renvoya le peuple. Et ils bénirent le roi, et s`en allèrent dans leurs tentes, joyeux et le coeur content pour tout le bien que l`Éternel avait fait à David, son serviteur, et à Israël, son peuple.
66. Ary nony tamin' ny andro fahavalo dia nampodiny ny olona, ary nisaotra andriana ireo, dia lasa nandeha ho any an-dainy avy, sady faly no ravoravo ny fony noho ny soa rehetra nataon' i Jehovah tamin' i Davida mpanompony sy ny Isiraely olony.
